it does benefit us. there are issues of 4th amendment rights, i get that, but as bar owners we have dealt with the person that said i slipped and fell in your bar or the security mishandled me when i was being carried out. video footage will help address that and eliminate that. complaints, often if your security is doing the right thing. so you as a business owner has to make that decision and say how strongly do i believe in my customers right to privacy versus my businesses being viable and successful. i think there is an easy balance there and cameras will help. one other thing with regards to cameras, they are very inexpensive. for a thousand dollars you can get a decent camera. and make sure your lighting is good too. >> do you have cameras? >> yes. i installed cameras about 8 years ago. i originally did it because i didn't trust my employees. i ended up firing a lot of them because of what i found. but ironically that film didn't help me. i fired one bartender for being high and drunk. when he app

it's been kind of an interesting year for us. as many of you probably know, medicinal marijuana is the talk of the day at the state legislature. there is a bill pending right now that would put the abc correctly in the crossroads if you will of the effort calling on us to become the regulators of medicinal marijuana dispensaries. i can't and won't answer any opinions about that because we haven't been told how we feel about it yet. we are working very closely with the legislative leaders on it and the governor's office and the bill's sponsors and some of the stake holders to have ourselves prepared in case -- we maybe as soon as january 2014 have that task within our mission as a regulatory agency that's been doing something somewhat similar for over 60 years. we do feel confident that we will be able to get the job done as it's given to us, but it in a very early state of that and we are still working through to be prepared. one thing we will for sure and definitely want to make sure we get communicated to you folks today is tha

affordable care act, we are not able to buy insurance from the exchanges but the only solution for us is through healthy sf, i have an older brother who was diagnosed with brain cancer three years ago, my parents were worried he would not be able to sur va*if because we couldn't afford expensive treatment, lucky a doctored was able to make sure my brother was taken care of and with radiation and surgery, he's home after recovering from rehabilitation, i'm happy he got the treatment he needed and healthy sf will give him the opportunity to complete his road to recovery, for my family's sake, it must not stop there. without healthy sf, i don't know how my brother would have gotten better. they -- i didn't know my family would be illegible for healthy sf, it is the only option for indocumented residence, even passing the immigration requirement in congress, under the current proposal, undocumented residents are being intentionally left out of accessing health care, and having access to health care is a human right. as a city that is strong to have equality for all, please show this regul
